Wenn der mikrotonale Komponist und Jazzpianist Matthew Goodheart und die Cellistin Sue Schlotte miteinander improvisieren, entsteht ein tiefer, differenzierter Dialog: Sie entfalten das gesamte, immense Klangspektrum von Cello, Klavier und Goodhearts Klanginstallationen in ihren Instant Compositions. Jedem Klang widmen sie Raum und Zeit.
Ihre Kollaboration begann 2004 während eines USA-Aufenthaltes von Sue Schlotte.
Sie produzierten ihre CD Departures und hatten zahlreiche Auftritte in der Bay Area und in Deutschland und der Schweiz, darunter auch das Klappstuhl-Festival in Wuppertal.
In ihren Konzerten loten sie die Grenzen zwischen Neuer Musik, experimenteller und freier Improvisation aus. Jedes Konzert ist einzigartig und eine Uraufführung.

In their concerts, they explore the boundaries between new music, experimental and free improvisation. Each concert is unique and a world premiere.
